Italy’s food and beverage exports to the USA reached a staggering €6.8 billion out of a total of €64 billion in 2023. In the first four months of 2024, sales in the American market surged by over 18% compared to the previous year, making the USA Italy’s third-largest destination for food exports and the leading market outside the EU. This growing appetite for Italian products sets the perfect stage for our award-winning Gelato Macaron.
Rigorous Selection and Esteemed Jury
The Italian Food Awards 2024 selection process was meticulous. Italianfood.net selected the most innovative Italian products through a two-step evaluation process. A panel of internationally prominent retailers, chefs, and professional operators in the food service channel cast their votes, contributing 70% to the final ranking. The remaining 30% was determined by analyzing sales performances in the U.S. market.
